Oh yea, this thing.

Yay, I have like 2ish readers now, how exciting!
If you care, I'm sorry for forgetting about this for over a month. I really suck at this.
Um updates:
I have a boyfriend for the first time in like 3 years. So we'll see how well that goes..heh

I have As in all my classes except math stupid professors who can't speak English..grumblegrumble. Might end up with an A- though, leaving my gpa at a 3.955 instead of a 4.0, which is an easier fix, than a B would be. Cross your fingers for me!

Um, I've moved into that house I was talking about a few posts back. Finally. Here’s some pics of my room.

Note: still haven’t unpacked everything/found places for everything so it’s a wee bit messy. I might post pics of it’s final form if I ever get it all done…which may or may not happen. Hehehe.

room 2 A bunch of stuff from china and Japan are on my dresser here. Some china masks from Japan (I always find it funny saying that don't know why). A china doll from China, a Japanese massage ball thingy (it’s under the blue silk bag in the picture)

room 3 That brown thing leaning against my guitar case is a human yolk from Africa.room 4 room 5 Bottom two shelves are from my trip to England, second from the top is from my trip to Haiti.room 6 room1

And there you have it! My new room! Yayyyy

I’m going to go enjoy it some more.

Laziness sucks

I started off so well with the daily updates! What happened!?

Maybe it’s because I kinda feel like I’m talking to myself. So, if there is anyone reading this blog, anyone at all, please take a second to type ‘Hi’ and enter, so I don’t feel like I’m wasting my time.

Anyway on to life news. Now in bullet points!

  • My dogs hips seem to be getting worse
  • My grandfather might or might not be paying for the house we want
  • I am dating guys who can’t seem to keep their hands off me, questioning whether I am a succubus or not. As this happens ALL THE TIME.
  • I got a 76 on my math test, I HAVEN’T GOTTEN A C ON A TEST SINCE 6TH GRADE WTF.

I hate Russian math professors who can’t speak English.

Anyway, I don’t really feel like saying anything more, so I’m gonna leave you with that little insight to my life.

Life’s little rollercoaster

So I went to the vet yesterday. She thinks Tanner might have Hip Dysplasia. Which sucks, for one, he’s only a year old, two, I’m broke, not ‘broke’ mind you, broke broke. I do not have have two pennies to scrape together. So I don’t know what I’m going to do, I don’t want my puppy to miss out on his puppyhood but I also don’t want to go below zero on my account. Arghhhh

tanner

How could I possibly say no to this cutie? So tough.

On a more positive note, things are looking up for me in my social life, I have guys to hang out with, and clubs to go to, so I'll actually have stuff to write about! Yay! Speaking of, I watched Zombieland with my dude Shay the night before last. Wicked movie, sooo funny. I definitely recommend you all check it out before the internet ruins it for you.

On the topic of zombies and what not, I’m going to a haunted house with my dude Phil tomorrow night. I don’t know what was going through my head when I agreed, but I warned him I was a gigantic wimp, I didn’t warn him however that he might need earplugs…I guess I should warn him..but he is taking me to a haunted house..meh he deserves some ringing ears for that. Muahahaha!

Finalmente, my parents and I have totally fallen in love with the house I was talking about in my last post. We’re going to make an offer tomorrow. How exciting! New digs! And my room will be in the basement, with a door leading outside at the top of the stairs, and another door that hides the stairway that’s lockable. So it’ll be like having my own little apartment. Free to sneak in and out boys who may or may not spend the night. Heheheh. It’s like the house was meant for me.

Anyway, I’ve got exams on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I better get back to studying.

Fashion is such a pain…literally.

So I had a job interview today, at a clothing store where the sales reps are supposed to be as fashionable as the clothing they sell. I’m not much of a fashionista myself but I’ll do anything to get a job, including wearing uncomfortable shoes. Now, these shoes were relatively new, I had even bought them at the store I was trying to get a job at. So I hadn’t really worn them that much or for that long. And I definitely didn’t think I’d be walking that much for the interview, walk in, walk out, bada bing bada boom. Done deal right? …Not so much. I forgot where I parked! And this mall is an outside mall right, so there’s a shit ton of parking lots scattered all over the places. So I walked for a good 15-20 minutes before I couldn’t walk anymore. My feet were killing me. I even took the shoes off for awhile and walked barefoot, but that didn’t last long because 1. it was raining and 2. people were staring. So I put the dreaded shoes back on, and decided to wimp out and ask my sister to pick me up and drive me around until we found my car. An hour later she shows up, and it takes us about 15 minutes to find the car.

So when I returned home and surveyed the damage I was more than a little shocked at what I saw. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve gotten blisters from shoes before, but never this bad.

Not for the faint of heart:

blister

Would you just look at that monster! Holy crap! And that’s not the only one either! I had a couple bad ones on the sides of my pinky toe and big toe on both feet plus another one of those bloody monstrosities on the back of my other ankle as well. I would have taken more pictures but standing on one leg holding a camera doesn’t really fare well for the balance-challenged.

So. Moral of the story?

I had a shitty day, and I am never wearing anything but sneakers ever again. Period.

Also if you’re curious as to what the evil shoes look like here they are. They look so innocent and comfortable don’t they? IT’S A LIE STAY AWAY FAR FAR AWAY!

evil shoes

Brand blacked out masterfully (if I do say so myself), so that I don’t get sued for slander if someone important just so happens to come across my page and sees it. Not likely that’ll happen but, ya know, just in case.

I’m gonna go nurse my feet now.

All the distractions in the world can’t distract you from loneliness

So, my parents and I think we’ve found the house we’re going to move into.  It’s pretty neat on the outside, haven’t had a chance to go in till Sunday.

blog

Neat huh? I hope we end up getting it, as it’s in a pretty nice neighborhood, and geez it’s bad ass looking dontcha think?

On another note, instead of having a social life, I’m trying to fill up my time with clubs. And it’s pretty much wearing me out. Here’s a list of the clubs I’ve joined:

OUAB: One of the most prestigious clubs at OSU. You have to apply and everything, but this group creates the majority of events that happen around campus. So it’s pretty freaking neat.

YAL: Young Americans for Liberty, basically a Libertarian Political Party. It’s pretty neat to be around a bunch of people with the same ideas as me. Woot.

Recycling club: Basically trying to get campus to recycle.

Psi Chi: An honors fraternity for Psychology majors/minors. It’s neat.

There’s a few more, but I’m not as active in them as I’ve got enough on my plate right now. I’m going to the gym for an hour in the morning before classes, then I have 3 hours of classes until 4, then I usually have a lecture/speech that my adviser advises me to listen to for about an hour, and then I have one of my club meetings that go from anywhere between 6-9. So I’m basically on campus for 9-11 hours depending on how late the club meetings go. Pretty awesome huh?

Man I’m beat. Think I’m gonna hit the hay.

Real estate and real life oh my.

Ohhh what a day. Went off to look at houses with my parents and had a realtor follow us back to see what he thought we should price the house at. His pricing wasn’t quite as high as we had hoped considering the area we were in, but he’s quite right, it’s a buyer’s market, not a seller’s and we must price to sell. So with that our price range for houses got just a little lower, and now my parents spirits aren’t exactly soaring anymore. They’re even considering just sticking it out here. Which I think it a terrible, terrible idea. Especially when I move out, the upstairs will become a no-man’s land, and that’s just silly.

Anyway, on a lighter note, despite the lowered price range for houses, I did find 15 that were quite lovely and were still in the area. So things might not be so bad after all.

After that I had an…interesting dinner with my family from my father’s side. My uncle came up from North Carolina to come visit so we decided to hang out with him along with my aunt and my crazy grandmother. Happily my grandmother decided to cancel on dinner, so I didn’t have to deal with 2 hours of listening to her whine about the various diseases she doesn’t have. Instead I had a lively conversation with my Aunts and Uncles as they teased each other and my father. I learned quite a few interesting factoids about my father, that I rather wish I hadn’t learned. But still, knowledge is power as they say. ;]

Off to get more power

I’m Bacckkkk

So I admit, I’m a failure at keeping these updated. However, I will do my best to try to do so, despite the fact that I’m boring as hell. So before I get back into the blogging thing I might as well update whoever reads this with what I’ve been doing in the last couple months.

1. I fixed my tattoo. It is now more tattoo-like and looks more like a Norse monster than a cute little puppy.fenrir part 1

2. I got myself a cute little chinchilla. Her name is Arya and she’s a little wimp but she’s absolutely adorable so it all works out. I do quite like adorable things. Here’s a stock photo of a chinchilla for all y’all who don’t know

.chin

3. I've recently transferred out of University of Toledo to Ohio State University. It’s a better school, and it’s bigger, and I get to live at home so I get free food whenever I like, but I’m not too sure I’m digging it. I just don’t really feel at home here. But still it’s only been 2 weeks, maybe it’ll get better. I’ll cross my fingers if you cross yours.

ohio_state_university

4. Finally, I am a survivor of Swine Flu.

swine-flu

Damn kids.

So that’s it. Tattoos to swine flues, it’s been quite the summer. Lets hope the school year will be just as interesting. I’ll try my best to keep you up-to-date, and lets hope I get a lot more readers. So I’ll have more of an incentive to write.

Thanks for reading!

Going crazy isn't as fun as one would imagine it to be.

So lately I've been studying practically nonstop. My days have basically become like this.
Weekday: Wake up, go to class, study, next class, study, etc. Back to dorm, study, pass out over book only to wake up next day with my texts speckled with drool (sexy no?). Then the rest of the day is the same.
Weekend: Wake up, study, study, study, study, scream, beat head against desk, study, study, study, study, pass out.

Rinse and Repeat.

No doubt it's playing a major part in my slowly unwinding mind.

But before I go into that, I'll mention a little back story. I'm writing a novel. I know I mentioned it before, but I doubt I've really gone into detail. I've tried writing novels before, and I'd get a few chapters done before I lose all interest in it. This is different though. Instead of an idea for a story coming at me, I have characters coming at me, telling me their story. It's intense. I've been having dreams about them, constantly thinking about them and what their daily life is like. Basically, by now I know them better than I know myself. Which is driving me to continue writing this story where I've stopped so many other times.

Now, I'm sure you're asking, "what the hell does this have to do with you going crazy?" But by the time you manage to get the words out I'm sure you've realized. But just in case, I'll elaborate anyway.

They've started talking to me, not just their story anymore. They'll tell me to 'get the damn book done you lazy cow!' Sounds like my mom, hah. Anyway, they'll comment on events that happen in my daily life. Will yell at me if I'm doing something where I could be continuing the story instead. Sometimes they'll tell me what they would do in certain situations. It is the weirdest fucking thing. Now, I know I'm not supposed to be hearing them. I know it's fucking bonkers, and I probably belong in an asylum. Only, I'm pretty damn sure, that if I ever finish the novel they'll shut the hell up. Which is only causing me to want to write and finish it more.

Only I can't! I have to study! Argghhhhhhaslkdfj

BonkersChaiLatte signing out, off to jump around in a padded cell (although, that would be pretty freaking cool).

Time

It seems like no one ever has time these days. To do anything, whether they want to do something or not. Myself included, I feel like my days are just flying by, and I have little or no time to actually do anything I want or need to do.

It's causing me to have to choose between homework, writing my book, and having a social life.

Sadly, I've just been choosing homework lately as I need to keep up my 4.0 if I want to study abroad next year.

Hm, I guess I should let you know that there's a 50% chance that I'll be going to England next year to study.

In anycase, I've been contemplating starting a new kinda story thingy. Where I write a new page/chapter every day on another blog or something along those lines. It'll be something silly and fun for me to write, to get away from it all, if only for a short while. I'm only really throwing this idea around in my head right now, obviously from what I mentioned above, I don't have time to do anything like that right now. Maybe sometime soon though. Hopefully by the time I get around to actually starting the story, I'll have more readers. :]

Reading, Writing, Literature in General

Sometimes I feel like Literature is deteriorating. People aren't as interested in books as they used to be, and if they are, they don't have as high standards as they used to. They aren't looking for deep, thoughtful, intricate writings anymore. They're looking for easy fun to read books, that at the most are 200 pages.

I want to contribute something to this world. Something that will reach across the language barriers, into the hearts and minds of millions. Only, the only thing I can really give people, is literature. And people just aren't that into reading anymore. They want to see, feel, hear, everything. Every semi-popular book these days becomes a movie, and people just don't read the book anymore they just watch the movie.

Would that happen to me? If I wrote a book? Would it be forsaken completely, or just made into a movie, with my artistic views completely forgotten, and the reason for the book misinterpreted completely?

Sometimes I feel like I'm better off being virtually unknown. If no one knows my views, no one can destroy or change them right?

No one would see them either though.

First Post

Hello Blog-O-Sphere!

I am ChaiLatte...hear me roar.

I guess I should post about, well... what I'll be posting about... to start things off. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what this will be about, but it will most certainly be about something(s)!

It'll probably bounce around topics until I settle on something that fits the best with me and what I want to talk about, or I'll endlessly bounce around topics, thoroughly confusing all who read. Or I'll just post a couple times and then stop dooming this page to fall into the abyss of the forgotten pages of the interbutts.

Anyway...I hope you all enjoy it! Whatever it becomes!
